Your Teacher, Beste Basci
I teach cello at every level and piano up to ABRSM Grade 5, one to one at my home studio in Stoke Newington. Children and adults are equally welcome, and lessons run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes each week. Young beginners are a speciality: I am certified in the Gordon approach to early years music education at the Audition Institute in Milan. I also teach at Stoke Newington Music School, Strings Club and Piano Fun Club.
Performance, String Duo and Quartet
Alongside teaching I perform across London as a solo cellist, in a string duo and with a full string quartet, for weddings, private parties and corporate events, with or without backing tracks. I play with the London Contemporary Orchestra, was Principal Cellist of the Fidelio Orchestra and have appeared at the Southbank Centre. I am also Concert Director of the Musicandle Events concert series, which continues through 2026.

Cello and Piano Lessons for All Ages
Cello for complete beginners through to advanced players, and piano up to ABRSM Grade 5. Lessons are one to one at my home studio in Stoke Newington and run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes each week. I prepare students for ABRSM exams every year, and young beginners are very welcome. Families come to me from across Stoke Newington, Hackney, Islington and Angel.
